Accounts Receivable Accountant We are seeking an AR Accountant for our client. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with financial regulations. The AR Accountant will play a crucial role in maintaining financial records, resolving discrepancies, and contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.
Duties of the Accounts Receivable Accountant Generate and send accurate and timely invoices to customers. Monitor and follow up on outstanding customer payments. Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to resolve billing issues. Reconcile customer accounts and ensure timely application of payments. Prepare and review customer invoices for accuracy and completeness. Verify billing data and resolve discrepancies. Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure accurate project billing. Develop and maintain billing procedures to improve efficiency. Implement effective collection strategies to reduce overdue payments. Communicate with customers to address payment issues and resolve disputes. Provide regular updates on accounts receivable status to management. Prepare and analyze AR aging reports. Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Generate ad-hoc financial reports as needed. Qualifications of the Accounts Receivable Accountant Proven 2-4 years of experience as an AR/Billing Accountant or in a similar role. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations. Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to meet tight deadlines and work independently. Problem-solving and analytical skills.
