Job Purpose We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Accounting team as an intern. The Accounting Intern will gain hands-on experience in various aspects of Accounting operations and assist with day-to-day tasks to support the department's functions. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to apply classroom knowledge to real-world scenarios, develop professional skills, and gain valuable insight into the Accounting profession.
Duties and responsibilities Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and customer invoicing. Support the month-end close process by reconciling bank statements, preparing journal entries, and assisting with financial reporting tasks. Aid in maintaining accurate financial records and documentation in compliance with company policies and procedures. Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and analysis as required. Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency. Provide general administrative support to the Accounting Department as needed. Supports maintaining a safe working environment and focuses on safe work habits. Maintains a focus for self and team on continuous learning that will enhance skill sets and growth opportunities. Demonstrates a commitment to C&F Enterprises, Inc. core values. Physical requirements Sitting, Standing, Walking Carrying, pushing, pulling boxes and items; up to 25 lbs., at times. The successful candidate must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
