Accountant - Work From Home

Job Description:

Nextdoor, a leading company in Columbus, Ohio, is seeking a passionate and resourceful Accountant to join our team on a part-time basis. As an entry-level position, we are looking for candidates with at least 1 year of experience in accounting.

Responsibilities:- Prepare financial statements and reports for management- Reconcile accounts and ensure accuracy of financial data- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes- Provide support for audits and tax preparation- Analyze financial data and provide insights to help drive business decisions- Maintain compliance with accounting regulations and standards- Collaborate with other team members to improve financial processes- Work closely with external vendors and partners as needed

Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance- CPA certification is a plus- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines- Strong attention to detail and accuracy- Innovation and research skills to improve processes and procedures
