ABOUT MONUMENTS ACADEMY Monuments Academy is a therapeutic school and treatment center that serves adolescent young men and their families. Utilizing the benefits of true horsemanship, progressive education, and a community-based living environment, Monuments Academy creates a unique relational experience immersed in relevant learning. A DAY IN THE LIFE AS AN ACADEMIC DIRECTOR In this professional-level director position you are deeply involved in not only academics but with each individual student while they are at Monuments Academy by spending time with the students to develop a strong, personal relationship that can be used to motivate, solve problems, and build academic ownership. While overseeing the academic department you will provide professional development for the academic team. In addition, the Academic Director works closely with directors at Monuments Academy to lead and improve the company. You are responsible for managing students' credits and grades as well as documenting student academic reports, grad plans, transcripts, student goals, and progress for record keeping.
Not only will you be working with students and your academic team, on occasion you will be working with parents and educational consultants. Parents will reach out to you regarding academic questions, wanting updates on grades and performance while educational consultants want to be in the know on how the academic program works to ensure proper placement of future students.
PAY/SCHEDULE This full-time Academic Director can earn a competitive salary of $80,000 - $100,000 per year depending on experience . Full-time employees are also eligible for health, dental, and vision insurance as well as PTO, paid holidays, and 401K .
QUALIFICATIONS FOR ACADEMIC DIRECTOR Knowledge and experience about gaining accreditation Proficient knowledge of Google Classroom (or other LMS) Masters Degree in teaching (MAT) Professional documentation and charting skills Experience with academic planning and/or curriculum developement Proficient knowledge in Special Education and experience in writing IEPs Professional leadership skills Licensed by the state of Utah Valid Driver's License Must be able to pass driving tests and remain up to date on required driving courses.
