Deputy General Counsel

A globally recognized mining company at the forefront of nuclear energy and rare earth mining is seeking an experienced Deputy General Counsel to join its legal team during a period of rapid growth and innovation.As Deputy GC, you will work closely with the Chief Legal Officer to handle complex regulatory, environmental, litigation, and transactional matters. The ideal candidate will leverage exceptional communication skills, business acumen, and two decades of law firm experience to provide strategic legal counsel on expansion projects, M&A, equity financing, and more.In this role you will:Advise on state/federal regulatory and environmental complianceNegotiate and draft key agreements and applicationsOversee legal matters for U.S. facilities and operationsMitigate legal risks and partner with leadership on decision-makingRequired Qualifications:Juris Doctor from an accredited law schoolLicensed to practice law in at least one U.S. state20+ years legal experience Background in transactional law, commercial agreements, and mergers & acquisitionsExcellent communication and presentation abilitiesDecisive negotiation and decision-making skillsEntrepreneurial outlook focused on opportunities rather than risk avoidanceThis global mining leader provides an exciting opportunity to use your technical background and passion for the energy transition to make a significant impact.
