The Student Worker Para Professional Senior will assist with a number of projects within the Health Economics Program (HEP) related to analyzing health care cost, conducting health services research, monitoring and studying the health care market, or performing research about prescription drug prices and use.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: Assisting with data collection and data cleaning. Computing descriptive and inferential statistics. Assessing the completeness and quality of data submission and reporting. Conducting literature reviews in support of current research projects. This position is part-time and specific hours and days of work are flexible within 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The duration of this position is anticipated to work approximately 06/05/2024 with an approximate end date of 09/30/2024.
This position may have the option of occasional teleworking based on the business needs and manager discretion. Commuting to the St. Paul office may be required. Minimum Qualifications To facilitate proper crediting, please ensure your resume/application clearly describe your experience in the areas listed below and indicates the beginning and ending month and year for each job held. Completion of two years of post-secondary education and enrolled or about to be enrolled in a degree-seeking program in one of the following areas: Public Health, Public Policy, Economics, Health Economics, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field. Experience with data analysis and writing for public policy. Preferred Qualifications Experience conducting statistical analysis and data manipulation using computer software such as STATA, SPSS or R. Knowledge of research methods for public policy. Knowledge of the U.S. health care system. Additional Requirements This position requires successful completion of a background check and employment reference check.
