Door and Window Service Techs Wanted. United Tech Services, UTS.Homes LLC, provides warranty service work for major door and window manufacturer's, throughout the United States and Canada.
Customers purchase and have installed the manufacturers windows and doors. If there is an issue while still under warranty, the manufacturers bring the service request to UTS, for techs to solve the issue. Parts are provided by the manufacturers, to be repaired or replaced in customers' homes.
Starting pay is $55 / hour Helper pay $27.50 / hour mileage paid No searching for work – we send jobs to you, via a phone app you will download Part time to full time work – willingness to travel provides more work/income Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. You must speak and act professionally. Need strong mechanical aptitude, including knowledge of window and doors repairs and installation. Comfortable in handling customer relations in a professional and friendly manner. Require truck or trailer to transport windows, glass, and doors, to customers home. Your scheduling and completion of work orders determines your hours worked. Requirements: Reglazing windows experience (Required) Windows and doors, inspect, repair and install (Required) Tools and Transportation - Truck or trailer, capable of transporting door units for door and glass work. A-Frame truck would be a plus for window work. Hand tools to perform jobs. Scaffolding and large ladders a plus but not required (UTS can rent them) Techs schedule work requests with homeowners and complete work orders within a timely manner, per our manufacturer's directions and guidelines Enter service actions and results into UTS Mobile App (we provide to download on your smart phone) while on site - no internet access required on job site and no need for additional time at home on computer – no paperwork or emailing from home! Completed work orders are paid via direct deposit to techs account, the following week. Utilize automated system for scheduling work orders Must have access to ocassional helpers. Proof of General Liability Insurance The work will cover Michigan, with most of the work in Detroit and Grand Rapids areas, but we do get occasional work in other areas. Due to work with excessive mileage and time spent travelling, these jobs will be quoted to include this compensation. ?
