Wildlife MentorID:F22UTR1-001Location:North OgdenProgram:FORESTWage/Hr:$35.00Hours/Week:8Minimum Age:55This is a virtual position.Qualifications:Minimum of 15 year(s) of experience OR BA/BS Degree in Agriculture, natural resources, agronomy or related field of study.Knowledge of Canada lynx and grizzly bear management, and the requirements to complete ESA consultation.Experience required with Windows, MS Word, MS ExcelDuties:The mentor will aid in mentoring new employees or employees early in their career on completing resource reports and required survey methodology.Meet with trainees to discuss and/or review resource reports and analyses to ensure resource reports meet requirements. This may occur at the District Office or virtually.50%Train and/or assist trainee in completing and recording required wildlife surveys. This will likely occur in the field.50%Other:Required Safety Gear: Hard hat.Safety Gear Use: When in the field, a hard hat must be worn.Physical requirements: Able to traverse uneven, steep terrain. often in inclement weather.
