Yorkville Community School District 115 - website Yorkville High School is seeking a dynamic and passionate High School Wellness (PE, Health, and Driver's Education) teacher who has experience in the classroom. We are seeking to hire a teacher who maintains a positive learning environment centered on high academic expectations, creating a student-centered classroom while building rapport with students, parents and staff. We are looking for exceptional candidates who will assist our school in becoming an exemplar as it relates to seeking and implementing strategies for improving student achievement and growth for all students. This person will work collaboratively in professional learning communities in the Wellness Division to achieve goals with a common purpose focused on student learning. Position Purpose
Yorkville High School desires a highly motivated professional to serve as a full-time teacher in our Wellness Division. Qualified candidates will provide daily instruction for five sections of 9-12 Wellness Instruction Essential Performance Responsibilities
Qualified candidates will provide daily instruction for five sections of freshmen level PE courses Position will serve a variety of activity based Physical Education offerings Prior experience delivering a fitness based PE program preferred, not required Preferred candidates would also possess credentials to teach Health and/or Driver's Education Preferred candidates would be interested to support in the Athletic Department Qualifications Profile Certification/License: Professional Educator License (PEL) Driver's Education endorsement preferred Education Bachelors from an accredited college or university in Education or related discipline applicable to teaching assignment.
