Warehouse Forklift Driver

Job summary
This position involves tasks associated with the receipt, storage, process, and shipment of products utilizing Material Handling Equipment.Safety, quality, productivity, and attendance are important expectations.Paid on-the-job training is provided.

Responsibilities
• Safely retrieve merchandise from storage locations using RF scanning guns and picking labels.• Comply with Vitamin Shoppe's policies, guidelines, procedures, state, and federal regulations, as well as OSHA requirements.• Pull merchandise from storage locations using Order Filling equipment.• Put merchandise away from Receiving to storage locations using High Reach Forklift equipment.• Complete daily checklist for material handling equipment.• Ensure accurate picking/put-away of product.• Learn to be proficient in all put away functions.• Perform necessary housekeeping duties to maintain a safe, clean, organized work environment.• Inform Operations Manager or Lead of any problems and actively participate in process improvements.• Conduct cycle counting as required.• Assist in other areas of the Warehouse as assigned.
Requirements
• Prior forklift experience required.• Familiarity with Material Handling Equipment, including Reach Truck and Order Picker, is necessary.• Ability to effectively and efficiently use established procedures, tools, RF scanners, and technologies.• Knowledge of state and federal regulations, as well as OSHA requirements, related to storage, handling, and movement of product.• Strong attention to detail for accurate picking/put-away of product.• Ability to maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.• Good communication skills to inform management of any problems and participate in process improvements.• Must be able to perform necessary housekeeping duties.• Must be able to conduct cycle counting as required.• Must be able to assist in other areas of the Warehouse as assigned.
