Virtual Special Education Teacher

Responsibilities:
Provide Virtual Instruction: Deliver engaging and effective instruction to students with special needs, both individually and in small groups.
Adapt Materials and Strategies: Customize instructional materials and teaching methods to accommodate the unique learning needs of each student.
Utilize Virtual Platforms: Effectively use virtual platforms for instruction, ensuring an interactive and supportive learning experience.
Monitor and Assess Progress: Track student progress, identify strengths and areas for improvement, and offer continuous feedback and support.
Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with parents, general education teachers, and other educational team members to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs.

Caseload: K-12 students with various disabilities within the school district

Qualifications:
Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Special Education or a related field.
Certification: Active New Mexico state certification in Special Education, or willingness to obtain certification before the start date.
Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with virtual learning platforms and technology for delivering remote instruction.
