Overview
The Vice President of Human Resources (VP of HR) is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the human resources function within the assigned region. The VP of HR plays a critical role in shaping the company's culture and will be responsible for developing and executing HR strategies, which drive the business forward, and ensure the development of all employees across the region. This people focused leader will act as a change agent and will seek to continuously improve processes and programs, which drive Summit to achieve business objectives at scale, while challenging individuals reach their full potential. This leader will need to cultivate partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added services to leadership and employees that reflect the business objectives and values of the organization.
Responsibilities& Objectives
Provide leadership in all aspects of human resources and execute strategic talent acquisition, retention, development, and succession planning objectives.
Own and manage workforce planning to address current and future headcount needs and ensure the organization attracts, hires, and retains top talent.
Promote a positive and inclusive work environment.
Lead organizational development and training initiatives to enhance leadership and employee performance and productivity across all levels within the region.
Ensure fairness and equity in compensation practices.
Drive a performance-driven culture that aligns with company goals and values and oversee performance appraisal and feedback processes.
Champion diversity and inclusion efforts to create a more diverse and equitable workforce.
Develop and manage the HR budget, ensuring cost-effective HR operations.
Lead and mentor the HR team, fostering professional development and a high-performance culture.
Analyze trends and metrics and make data driven decisions in support of business objectives.
Align KPIs with company values and business objectives.
Skills & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
Minimum of 15 years of progressive HR leadership experience in highly matrixed organizations
Demonstrated leadership and team management expertise
Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations
Change agent and continuous improvement mindset
Able to manage multiple high priority initiatives
Acute business acumen & ability to assess and resolve organizational issues & challenges
Preferred Certifications:
SPHR/SHRM-SCP
