As a Vet Assistant you'll play an important role in pets' lives by providing end-to-end care for our precious patients. Your life-changing work will range from the hands-on care of facilitating outpatient treatments and performing laboratory tests, to support services including admitting and discharging patients.
Role Responsibilities: Uses sound judgment when making decisions about patient careResponds quickly and calmly to emergenciesMaintains high standards of patient careCommunicates clearly with the veterinarians, other hospital personnel, and clients to ensure that patients receive the care they needMust be friendly and flexible in the face of varying expectations from clients and coworkersAble to multi-task, prioritize tasks well, and think creativelyProvide for patient and client comfort by keeping the hospital clean and presentableMust be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises. May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste, and contagious diseasesOther duties as assignedExperience & Skills Requirements: Possesses strong communication skillsIs compassionate and empatheticWorks well on a teamExceptional customer service skillsExperience in a veterinary hospital setting is required You'll Grow With Us Here, you can grow your career as best fits you through access to comprehensive learning and skillset programs.
