Compensation:
This position starts at $16.22* per hour. *Hourly rate may vary based on education, experience or qualifications. Benefits:

*Regular, full time employees will be eligible for health insurance benefits on the first day of the month following sixty days of full time employment. Health insurance benefits include medical, prescription, dental and vision. Position Summary: Provides customer service by processing payments and responding to inquiries. Responsible for maintenance of utility accounts. Performs all duties assuring compliance with established City codes, ordinances and policies and other applicable laws and regulations.
Essential Functions: Customer Service Activities Generates service orders relating to customer requests for utility service. Receives and applies customer payments for utilities and other miscellaneous receipts. Collects all cash, checks and other receipts from all departments daily. Balances those receipts to the daily reports and posts to the General Ledger. Investigates and responds to customer inquiries and complaints assuring proper resolution of each complaint. Other Duties Responsible for balancing a cash drawer at the end of each day. Investigates and collects bad debt. Scans utility billing and cashier documents. Miscellaneous Activities Attends training and other outside seminars as approved. Deals with the public and internal staff in a professional and courteous manner. Responds to requests by immediate supervisor in an accurate, complete and timely manner. Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED equivalent Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite preferred 2 years in an office setting preferred Date Opened: May 13, 2024
