The goal of the US Analyst program is to develop the ideal candidate into a full-time position at the end of the two years.SummaryThe Global Market Division paralegal will provide documentation support to the range of business lines and products that comprise CA-CIB's Global Market Division's activities with a focus on its derivatives, repo and securities lending activities.Key responsibilitiesAssist in reviewing, preparing, and negotiating various agreements and documents relating to capital markets transactions focused primarily on derivatives, repo and securities lending and also including DCM, ECM, securitization, and strategic equity transactionsPrepare and contribute to numerous internal reports and systems relating to the management of legal riskParticipate in training and skill development on market and legal developments affecting covered businesses and productsUphold CA-CIB's codes of ethics, culture and conduct in all matters, including with respect to matters of diversity and inclusion and the identification and escalation of financial crimes risksManagement and ReportingReports to the Head of the Global Markets Legal team in the U.S.Legal DepartmentWill act under the supervision of licensed lawyers in the bank's New York officeKey Internal ContactsRelevant front office, legal, risk and compliance personnelKey External ContactsVarious outside counselSalary Range: $80,000 - $85,000Required:Candidate has valid work authorization to work in the USCandidate will not require Visa Sponsorship now or in the futureBachelor's degree (or the equivalent)Preferred:Pre-law courseworkParalegal work or similar work in a legally-intensive environment at a sophisticated business enterpriseStrong interest in post-graduate legal education or a career in financial services
