Job Responsibilities:
* Assume a leadership role among field staff, serving as a vital link between field operations and management and assigning responsibilities and schedules.
* Skillfully address and resolve issues and challenges related to construction activities and cost control.
* Provide reports on project overages or underage's to the General Superintendent.
* Conduct Project Audits and oversee cost control measures.
* Collaborate with Project Foremen to supervise construction activities at project sites.
* Maintain forward-looking schedules.
* Generate weekly reports on routine equipment maintenance.
* Submit work job tickets to the General Superintendent.
* Review project plans throughout the project and maintain daily records of quantities.
* Coordinate daily lane closures as necessary.
* Manage dump locations for millings.
* Calculate initial take-offs based on project plans.
* Supervise QA/QC testing processes.
* Prepare subgrade layouts and verify their correctness.
* Review all thickness and additional reinforcement requirements for projects and create implementation plans.
* Identify grading discrepancies between plans and actual field conditions.
* Maintain daily records of quantities for each project.
* Address and correct any yield discrepancies between the plan and the installation.
Qualifications:
* A desirable BA/BS degree or a minimum of 5 years of experience as a paving foreman.
* OSHA 30 certification is required, or it must be obtained within 6 months of employment.
* Demonstrates a strong commitment to passion, integrity, hard work, and professionalism.
