Transcriptionist - Full Time

Position Overview: Functions as a transcriptionist for radiologic dictation, interacting with the Radiologists and medical imaging staff.


Essential Functions :
a) Accurately transcribes radiology dictation.
b) Has the ability to maintain computers, and formats or makes necessary service calls.
c) Places transcribed documentation on electronic chart in an accurate manner.
d) Maintains confidentiality of patient and hospital information.


Physical Demands and Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to see, talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to sit and use hands along with fingers, to handle or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.


Qualifications & Skills: a) Education: High school graduate or equivalent.
b) Training & Experience: Must have previous medical transcription skills, preferably radiology
c) Job Knowledge: Knowledge of medical terminology, specifically radiology, Word, Meditech experience desired.
