Northwood Technical College is developing a pool of candidates who are learning-focused, creative and dynamic individuals to teach Drivers Education courses part-time in the New Richmond, Hudson, Clear Lake, Prairie Farm, St. Croix Central areas. Ideal candidates are learning-focused, creative, and passionate about teaching behind-the-wheel instruction. Applications are being accepted from qualified candidates who would like to work on a casual or as-needed basis.

Providing Behind-the-Wheel Training: Instruct students in safe driving techniques and vehicle operation. Ensuring Vehicle Safety: Ensure training vehicles are properly maintained and operate safely. Maintaining Records: Keep accurate records of student attendance, progress, and performance. Emphasizing Safety: Promote the importance of wearing seat belts, obeying traffic laws, and avoiding distractions while driving. Providing Feedback: Offer constructive Feedback to students and their parents or guardians on their driving skills and areas for improvement. Staying Updated: Stay informed about traffic laws and regulations changes to ensure that instruction is current and accurate. Collaborating with Colleagues: Work closely with other Driver Education Instructors and staff to coordinate lessons and activities. Maintaining Professionalism: Always uphold professional standards of conduct and behavior. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications:
Must hold a valid Wisconsin Driver's License and DPI Certification (preferred) OR Six (6) credits in Drivers Education plus three (3) credits in Safety Education or willing to take the three courses to teach this coursework. FY24 Salary - $38.00 / hour
