Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a temporary Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Cardiac / Step Down Unit as a Night Shift RN. In this role, you will provide specialized care to patients recovering from cardiac procedures and conditions in the step-down unit during the night shift. The ideal candidate will have experience in cardiac nursing and a strong commitment to patient safety and quality care.
Responsibilities: Conduct thorough assessments of patients recovering from cardiac procedures and conditions. Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. Monitor cardiac rhythms and vital signs, intervening as necessary to ensure patient stability. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and healthcare providers. Assist with post-procedure recovery and patient education regarding cardiac care and self-management. Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care. Document all patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner. Maintain a safe and supportive environment for patients and staff in the cardiac / step-down unit. Qualifications: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice. Minimum of one year of experience in cardiac nursing or step-down nursing preferred. Certification in Cardiac Nursing (CCRN) or Progressive Care Nursing (PCCN) preferred. BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred. Strong assessment and critical thinking skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
