Responsibilities: Responsible for oversight of successful execution of the department's operation. Provide an extraordinary first impression upon individuals calling Kiawah Island Golf Resort. Provides prompt courteous and efficient handling of all incoming calls and assistance for outgoing calls, which transpire through PBX. Plays an integral part in assisting with emergencies, (fire, medical, and power/system failure), by contacting the designated personnel for immediate assistance. Responsible for accurately recording and conveying verbal and text messages upon request. This position effects every department in the hotel. Has knowledge of Charleston and surrounding areas. Ability to work well under pressure and in circumstances of change, making quick and appropriate decisions. Appropriately answer and accurately respond to or route telephone calls. Communicate proactively, cooperatively and appropriately with other hotel and resort departments regarding guests' needs and preferences as well as property situations. Proficiently create Communications reports, effectively utilizing information, and complete checklists task and paperwork. Demonstrate functional knowledge of Sanctuary departments, services and facilities, including personnel, features and hours of operation. Maintain discretion and security for the hotel and guests. Accurately record and appropriately convey verbal messages. Accurately record and properly execute wake up calls. Respond to security and emergency situations in accordance with established Sanctuary and KIGR guidelines. Diligently coordinate the resolution of housekeeping and maintenance concerns. Comply with procedures and requirements established in the Front Office Manual. Complete all other duties as assigned. Qualifications: High school degree Ability to communicate clearly with proper grammar in English High aptitude for computer programs Excellent organization habits Effective conflict resolution skills Professional and cooperative demeanor Positive and energetic attitude Essential Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift and carry minimum weight of 20 lbs. across short-medium distances.
