Technical Sales Representative - US (Houston, TX Preferred) Location: US Remote


Job Term: Full-time
The Opportunity: Picarro is looking for a Technical Sales Representative to join our team. As a Technical Sales Representative, you will be responsible for generating new leads and sales opportunities and working with our existing customers to grow our business. This individual will be reporting to the VP, Gas Business Development, and will be responsible for the regional sales and business development effort, as well as building and maintaining customer relationships. You will need to be a self-starter with a strong work ethic and a positive attitude. If you are a motivated individual with a passion for sales & technology, then we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities: Maintain constant communication with current and future clients, maintaining the trust they have in the company and products.
Proactively enter and service sales orders.
Make cold calls, develop, and qualify leads, conduct presentations, negotiate contracts, and close sales.
Utilize knowledge of industry trends, product capabilities, and service options to generate new business.
Implement new sales proposals, concepts, and strategies.
Work with Picarro Teams to ensure customers meet their requirements and expectations.
Develop presentations, demonstrations, and diagrams to effectively communicate to prospects.
Support industry tradeshows, technical committees, and client user groups.
Research and source equipment, parts, and supplies, as well as samples, manuals, and other literature.
Meet all company policies, procedures, and instructions.
Provide superior customer service.
Identify and act on opportunities for product and market development.
Sets, attains, and maintains monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
Report to manager on weekly basis.
Manage individual expenses efficiently and cost effectively.
Requirements: BSc/BA degree or higher.
5+ years of experience in technical sales.
Excellent knowledge of computer technology.
Excellent knowledge of Natural Gas Industry.
Ability to meet and exceed sales goals, establish new accounts, and grow existing accounts.
Experience selling to larger organizations preferred.
Experience with Slack, Box, and NetSuite preferred.
Experience with CRM, MS Office, and other sales-related software is required.
"Start-up" mentality and keen on working in a small, yet growing sales environment.
Outstanding consulting selling abilities and excellent interpersonal skills.
Strong presentation, communication, and technical skills.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong critical thinking skills and problem-solving ability to solve problems with minimal supervision or direction.
Experience with operation of sophisticated analytical instrumentation is a plus.
A valid driver's license is required.
Willingness to travel as needed (+/- 50%).
Salary & Benefits: The base salary range for this full-time position is $90,000 to $110,000. Your base salary and title will be determined based on the location, experience, qualification, skills, knowledge, level, and pay of employees in similar positions.
