Full job description A full-time position for AIDT located at the Alabama Robotics Technology Park (RTP) in Tanner, AL. ANNOUNCEMENT DATE:

SYNOPSIS
Provide coordination and instruction for Industry 4.0 training at the Robotics Technology Park. Responsible for developing and training in industry-needed areas related to Industry 4.0, with other related areas included as needed. Participate as a team member in the implementation of the Park's mission, vision, and strategic plan in conjunction with RTP staff and AIDT Management.
Duties and Responsibilities: Provide and retrieve consultation with industry in Alabama to ensure industry-driven training programs are created and implemented. Design, develop, coordinate, implement, and instruct systems through troubleshooting, PLCs, Vision Systems, and network communications. Establish safe working environments during training as required by AIDT. Establish training methods in systems programming and troubleshooting. Research new and evolving training techniques and enhancement to existing programs. Coordinate with different vendors and establish a working relationship to cover all other training fields in a variety of concepts, principles, and procedures. Develop course lesson plans, exercises, hands-on activities, and practical/written exams. Prepare instructional materials using computer software that will cover the curriculum needs to ensure that all trainees gain the needed knowledge and skill to meet their job's demand. Evaluate trainees, make recommendations, and write reports on trainees' progress. Coordinate and track course schedules for AIDT external instructors with RTP personnel. Perform duties with independence as required by AIDT with authority and minimum supervision. Prepare and deliver oral and written presentations in area(s) of expertise. Perform special projects and other work-related duties and responsibilities as assigned by management. Work Habits: Comply with all policies and procedures as set out in AIDT Policy. Plan daily/weekly work schedule. Maintain housekeeping to organizational standards. Interacts professionally with company representatives, public officials, trainees, coworkers, and the general public. Ability to follow established laws, policies, and procedures. Ability to comply with all pertinent safety, environmental, and other local, state, and federal laws and regulations. Comply with AIDT policy regarding attendance. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job. Ability to work flexible hours based on program needs. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
1. Ability to understand and follow different PLC languages such as Rockwell, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Omron, etc.
2. Ability to write and or script a computer programming language such as Python, C++, or Java.
3. Ability to understand and follow automation systems flow, collaboration, and network communication.
4. Ability to program a projection of automation systems using MES and SCADA software.
5. Knowledge of troubleshooting principles and techniques.
6. Must be able and willing to learn new technologies pertaining to industrial training needs.
7. Knowledge of robotic operation and programming knowledge i.e., FUNC ABB, Omron, Durr, etc.
8. Knowledge of vision systems and smart sensor technologies in operation, programming, and communication.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum eight years' experience in appropriate area of specialization; or two-year degree in area of specialization and three years industry or industrial training experience in area of specialization.
Salary and General:
Initial placement will be based on experience and education applicable to the T3M salary schedule, within a range of $60,945– $87,533. Paid monthly. Excellent benefits package included.
Criminal Background Check:
The applicant chosen for employment will be required to sign a Criminal Background Check consent form and to submit a nonrefundable $26.17 payment for the cost of the criminal background check. (Note: $26.17 fee is based on possession of an Alabama Driver's License. The fee for the background check may be more or less if the driver's license is not an Alabama license.) Permanent employment will be contingent upon the results of the criminal background check.
