Responsibilities
• Plans and delivers appropriate curriculum content to students• Assesses student learning and adjusts instruction to meet individual and group needs• Maintains order within the classroom setting• Supervises students in non-classroom time• Collaborates with other faculty in planning and delivering instruction• Communicates regularly with parents• Ensures compliance with applicable statutes and policies• Demonstrates commitment to improving professional competence• May perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
• Must hold or be eligible for a Virginia Teaching License with an endorsement in Marketing• Must hold an industry credential accepted by the Virginia Department of Education• Working knowledge of instructional concepts, principles, and methodologies• Working knowledge of academic curriculum for assigned classes• Effective communication skills• Decision-making, problem analysis, conflict resolution, and planning skills
