Specific Job Summary The Tax Specialist will report to the Tax Manager and Director and will support the Marriott Vacations Worldwide (MVW) indirect tax function. The Tax Specialist will prepare workpapers and reconciliations, complete postings, maintain and review files, check work for accuracy, and complete internal control processes supporting the filing of MVW's state and local tax returns to ensure compliance with state and local tax sales and use, lodging, and federal information reporting requirements for all domestic locations where MVW conducts business. The Tax Specialist will also perform related duties and projects as assigned in support of the company's tax reporting and compliance responsibilities.

Prepares tax workpapers supporting filing of state and local sales, use and occupancy tax returns. Prepare, review and post journal entries to be recorded and tax payments to be made. Assist in preparation of monthly tax account reconciliations in compliance with MVWP-66 Policy and work with local site teams to obtain necessary reconciliations and information. Runs various General Ledger queries from PeopleSoft, including trial balances, P&L, B/S, etc. Generic Candidate Profile Successful candidates should possess knowledge and experience and demonstrate ability to accurately complete tasks assigned on a timely basis.

Education High school diploma/G.E.D. equivalent Experience Proficient in use of Microsoft Excel. At least 1 year of equivalent work experience.
