The Tax Manager is a highly technical and specialized position responsible for providing comprehensive tax services in a variety of areas. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and managing all aspects of the tax function, including tax compliance, tax planning, and tax consulting.
The Tax Manager will be responsible for overseeing the filing of corporate, partnership, and S-corporate tax returns and ensuring all filings are accurate, timely, and in compliance with all state and federal regulations. The successful candidate will provide guidance and advice on existing and proposed tax regulations. The Tax Manager will also work closely with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with financial reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the preparation of federal, state, and local income tax returns and related tax payments Analyze complex transaction structures for tax implications Perform research on various tax matters, conferring with outside experts if necessary Identify and quantify tax liabilities and opportunities for optimization Provide guidance on the tax implications of business transactions and changes in the business landscape Assist with transfer pricing matters, working with finance, operations, and legal teams Engage in tax planning to ensure compliance and optimize tax burden Stay abreast of changing tax laws and regulations Maintain good relationships with tax authorities Oversee the work of other tax staff members, delegating tasks as needed Qualifications:
CPA, EA, or similar certification Significant experience in corporate, partnership, and S-corporate tax Knowledge of GAAP and IFRS Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Familiarity with tax preparation software Experience in public accounting Benefits Medical
