Summary: The Supplier Quality Manager is to oversee and plan the workload capacity for all Inspection tasks. This includes the coordination and execution of all inspection activities in the office, for example, quality document control and at the supplier's shops related to the purchase order. The Supplier Quality Manager develops the project inspection plans to meet the project-specific requirements and is the main point of contact related to the pre-qualification requirements and possible pre-audits for new and existing suppliers. Requirements: Oversees overall management of Supplier Quality, including supervision of scheduling for internal and 3rd party inspections for all RES Americas offices and projects. Works closely with the RES HSQE department to ensure work conditions comply with all applicable regulations and are considered the highest priority for everyone involved in the project. Conducts capacity planning of Inspection needs. Validates with Procurement Specialists to confirm that the supplier will be ready for inspection visits and expediting actions identified as required during the inspection visit. Evaluates the performance and skillset of inspectors, contractors, and 3rd parties to provide constructive feedback to enhance performance and identify training needs for project-specific requirements. Performs in-house training regularly and identifies training required from 3rd parties for specialist items. Initiates external training for Inspectors or Contractors such as MSHA/OSHA training, CWI, or other training to ensure safe inspection on a high professional level. Works with cross-functional departments on continuous improvement of procurement strategies. Reviews/prepares job responsibilities, regional procedures, workflow, work instructions, and other functions, as applicable. Creates Inspection plans and supports others in the development of Inspection plans. Reviews and evaluates specifications for equipment and project requirements to ensure those specifications are appropriate for the North American Market. Conducts supplier pre-qualification audits in compliance with the procedures to be developed at key supplier premises in North America for entry into the list of approved suppliers. Manages and supervises review of and approval of ITP's, fabrication, testing, and possible welding procedures and documentation. Interacts with all cross-functions and global partners to ensure all applicable requirements are considered for equipment inspection at the supplier workshop. Attends work regularly and punctually, as scheduled or expected. Complies with Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct, and Company Policies & Procedures. Performs pre-inspection meetings for key suppliers either by Teams or at the supplier's premise. Interacts with suppliers' QA/QC departments concerning inspection techniques, machinery, and testing equipment. Performs interim and final inspections at suppliers in North America and elsewhere for key suppliers. Provides guidance for inspectors to perform work when using global 3rd parties. Reviews and approves inspection reports before internal release or release to clients. Liaises with cross-functional departments to resolve nonconformities. Performs site visits for damage analysis, damage evaluation, development of repair plans, and supervision of the repair of critical equipment as requested. Evaluates suppliers' performance by gathering information and preparing reports. Prepares lessons learned related to inspection and supplier quality during the closeout of the project. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Thorough understanding of contractual requirements and the ability to read and interpret complex SoW documents, drawings, and technical specifications. Experience communicating with suppliers to ensure the contractual agreed equipment quality and documentation is achieved. Long-term work experience in North American, European, and Asian markets. Extensive intercultural experience. Ability to detect, understand, engage, and implement process optimization. Knowledge of ERP systems. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate in all mediums. Able to leverage and collaborate with cross-functional, internal, and external partners to meet goals. Ability to identify and resolve problems promptly; gather and analyze information skillfully and develop alternative solutions. Able and willing to travel extensively to worldwide locations but mainly to North America for inspections, supplier audits, training, and support. Participates in hiring and selection process to fill positions on the team. Communicates regularly with direct reports on goals, accomplishments, and information on policies. Conducts regular discussions with employee(s) on personal development. Comfortable with empowering others. Conducts timely, effective performance reviews following RES guidelines. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or electrical engineering, required. Welding Engineer certification, required. 10 or more years of international supervising experience in a similar position, preferred. EPC experience preferred. Ability to travel 31 to 50%. Must possess a valid Driver's License. Anticipated base salary range: $113,000 - $150,000 The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. This position is bonus eligible.
