Supervise Front Desk Agents, Bell, and Concierge. Responsible for the daily operation of services for hotel operations ensuring guests are greeted with a 4 Star/Diamond service upon their arrival and offer any assistance.
Organizes, directs, and monitors daily activities of front desk agents Ensures efficient, friendly, and professional guest registration, check-out, and telephone service; observes front desk agents to ensure that established procedures are followed. Answer inquiries pertaining to hotel services, shopping, dining, entertainment & travel. Communicate to the Front Office Manager, information needed to increase guest services and develop new guest service related amenities. Maintain a house bank and make a deposit and accurate report of receipts daily. Cash checks and exchange currency for guests. May perform front desk agent responsibilities as needed such as guest registration, verifying reservation, address and credit information, accepts payment for guests' accounts both at the time of registration and at checkout Ensure execution of contracts, deposits, billing pertinent to hotel rooms. Work with hotel management colleagues to ensure that services to our guests remains at the highest level. Communicates with the Front Office Manager relative information and statistics pertinent to planning and execution of maximizing revenue while increasing guest perception. Performs other job related duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Requires strong leadership and motivational skills. Will interact with various levels of staff, management, government officials, and the public.  Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; maintaining a safe, secure, and legal work environment; developing personal growth opportunities. Accomplishes staff results by communicating job expectations; grooming standards, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplinin g employees; developing, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards. Excellent communication skills both in person as well as on the telephone. Computer skills, excellent verbal and written skills. Required to act as a sales representative. Need to have worked in California, in Hotel Room Sales.
Skilled in LMS preferred, but not required. Computer savvy, ability to operate 10-key adding machine. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of classified information. Ability to tactfully and diplomatically deal with the public and staff. Must possess excellent business sense and high professional ethics. Must possess a high regard for guest service and team member relations.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum 1 - 2 years hotel/resort experience preferred.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS: Must undergo and successfully pass a background investigation to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Morongo Gaming Agency.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Must be able to read, write & speak English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Must have the ability to write routine reports and correspondence and to speak effectively with guests or team members of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY: Must have the ability to independently problem-solve challenging situations. Must have the ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form and have the judgment to decide which procedures apply to a variety of situations. Must reason with people effectively yet cordially.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to sit and often will stand or walk. The team member frequently is required to reach with arms and use hands to manipulate or feel. The team member might occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. This position requires the ability to hear and speak on the telephone and vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: This is a fast paced work environment and the position requires the ability to cope with it. The casino has moderate to loud noise levels and is a smoking environment.
WORKING HOURS: Because we are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, most positions require flexibility in scheduling and may require team members be available for evenings, weekends, holidays and special events. A typical workweek and normal work schedules may vary based on business needs and may include scheduled shifts Monday through Sunday. Position may require overtime.
