Responsibilities
• Ensure implementation of PCL's safety program• Supervise, mentor, and coach project team• Communicate with own forces and trades to meet performance, productivity, quality, and safety requirements• Collaborate with construction/project manager and project team• Manage potential problems, work interferences, and schedule conflicts• Ensure construction complies with drawings and specifications• Coordinate with client, subcontractors, and other stakeholders• Plan and create project schedule, identify critical path, and anticipate constructability issues• Develop and implement Project Execution Plan (PEP) and three-week lookahead schedules• Maintain project administration correspondence and compliance with documentation requirements• Develop and maintain customer relationships
Requirements
• Journeyman certificate or engineering degree in related discipline• NCSO designation required, enrollment in Gold Seal program preferred• 10 years of progressive field supervision experience preferred• In-depth knowledge and experience in construction industry and company operations• Understanding of project scope and ability to apply engineering principles• Proficient understanding of scheduling software• Ability to coordinate multiple scopes of a construction project• Thorough understanding of productivity rates and cost reports• Knowledge of contract language and ability to identify/mitigate risks• Knowledge of safety and environmental principles/procedures/legislation• Ability to lead effective site meetings and develop stakeholder relationships• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and internal operational systems
