Superintendent - Heavy Civil

Position Overview: The Heavy Civil Superintendent is responsible for providing coordination, supervision, and management of all construction activities on-site and ensuring they are completed in a timely manner. The Superintendent must have extensive knowledge of highway, utility, and drainage construction, as well as an understanding of site development.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain efficient and effective plans, schedules, and methods for project completion. Plan and assign daily work and priorities for crews, contractors, and subcontractors. Communicate with project manager and check plans, specifications, and shop drawings. Monitor job progress, quality control, and safety standards. Resolve conflicts, issues, and disputes. Ensure that all workers comply with safety requirements. Coordinate supplies and materials. Supervise, motivate, and evaluate personnel. Work with other superintendents to complete projects. Maintain project records. Qualifications: Minimum 10 years of experience in heavy civil construction. Working knowledge of highway, utility, and drainage construction, as well as site development. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to read and interpret plans and blueprints. Ability to work in a variety of environmental and weather conditions.
