Pay rate as of August 2023: ASSOCIATES DEGREE/HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA $75 PER DAY ($37.50 PER HALF DAY) BACHELOR'S DEGREE AND ABOVE $97 PER DAY ($48.50 PER HALF DAY) STATE OF TN CERTIFIED TEACHER $118 PER DAY ($59 PER HALF DAY) Along with your completed application we will need copies of your: DRIVER'S LICENSE SOCIAL SECURITY CARD EDUCATION DOCUMENTS (GED, DIPLOMA, DEGREE OR TRANSCRIPTS) VOIDED CHECK OR DIRECT DEPOSIT FORM FROM YOUR BANK You can email all of these to Elizabeth Parker at . She will the send you background check instructions. We are able to pull these results online and reimbursement request are submitted once you have worked four full days as a Substitute Teacher.
If there are certain days of the week or specific schools you want to work at we can set those preferences. All sub jobs will come from an automated phone call so we encourage you to save that phone number in your phone. We will give more in-depth instruction and information at the sub training.
THE ROANE COUNTY SCHOOLS RESERVE THE RIGHT TO DENY EMPLOYMENT TO ANY APPLICANT. COMPLETION OF THE SUBSTITUTE TRAINING CLASS DOES NOT GUARANTEE EMPLOYMENT AS A SUBSTITUTE. FURTHER, SUBSTITUTE TEACHER CAN BE TERMINATED FROM SERVICE AT ANY TIME.
