Sumer Innovations' ultimate purpose is to create a sustainable construction industry through the collaboration of building design professionals and technological advancement.
We are creating an expanding network of independent engineers, architects, and scientists, and we are looking for Civil and Structural Engineer to join our network and provide designs for our clients.
The way we operate is different than the traditional business model:
(1) We connect you with local and remote clients in need of your services on our platform. We cover all marketing, admin, contracting, comminucations, and other overhead expenses. You will then meet prospective clients remotely or locally in your area to understand their project needs and provide a quote. Once the client accepts your quote and moves forward, you start the work by gathering details to prepare drawings, specifications, sketches, construction documents, etc. Most business operations are programmed in the platform to increase work productivity and efficiency.
(2) You will then be conducting project management and communications with the client, Sumer Innovations team, and other local professionals on the platform. You will be backed up by a global network of experts from which you can request support. We have drafters, designers, junior and senior engineers to assist you as and when needed. You will not be burned out or working alone, and you will have the opportunity to grow your income.
Summary of what you'll do: Meet prospective clients locally and remotely to discuss their project needs Develop and provide drawings to existing and potential clients Ensure planning and design meet the client's requirements Prepare detailed drawings showing the details of the structure Direct staff in the development of project drawings Visit worksites to ensure work is being done according to structural plans Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering Professional Engineering License (PE), or ability to obtain license within 6 months of hire. Minimum 4 years of experience Small and medium scale, multi-use project experience is required Residential and commercial engineering experience is required Revit is highly preferred Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Required Abilities and Skills: Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication Entrepreneurship Leadership abilities Marketing and Selling Time management skills to prioritize and meet deadlines Dependable, great attitude, and team player Ability to work independently and as a member of a team Flexibility to work in a changing environment Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Job Type: Contract
