Grayhawk structural is seeking a Structural Engineer to provide support to the organization by executing structural design principals to create comprehensive construction documents including framing plans, shear wall plans, foundation plans, details, and other documentation as needed.

Job Description As a Residential Structural Engineer with Grayhawk Structural, you will be integral in developing structural designs, conducting analyses, and ensuring the stability, safety, and durability of our residential construction projects. You will collaborate with architects, builders, and other engineers to create structures that are both aesthetically pleasing and structurally sound.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Reliably work to meet schedule, budget and quality expectations/requirements. A strong focus on quality, ensuring conformance with established structural standards, project standards, and project delivery processes. Advance and develop standard drawings, details and processes. Develop structural designs for new residential constructions, renovations, and extensions. Perform detailed calculations to establish construction, material, and performance specifications. Create structural models and documentation using CAD software and other engineering tools. Review blueprints, plans, and other customer documents to ensure structural reliability and compliance with local codes and regulations. Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other engineering specialists during the project planning and development stages. Conduct site visits for potential new projects and ongoing project oversight to ensure adherence to design, specifications, and safety standards. Prepare reports, proposals, and documentation for clients and local governing bodies. Stay current with the latest building codes, technology, and trends in residential structural engineering. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or a related field. Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of Arizona, or the ability to obtain licensure within six months. A minimum of 5 years' experience in residential structural engineering. Proficiency with structural engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Enercalc, Excel, etc.). In-depth understanding of construction methods and materials and their structural implications. Excellent communication and project management skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple deadlines. Why join us?
