About the role: The slitter operator uses various machines and equipment in the steel slitting and packaging operation. Each operator must be reliable and able to work with attention to detail and safety standards. The successful candidate must have a willingness to learn, strive to produce quality products, and work well with others.
Responsibilities: Set up, operate, and tend machines to start a production cycle
Control and adjust machine settings (e.g. speed)
Feed raw material or parts to semi-automated machines
Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools
Test operation of machines periodically
Check output to spot any machine related mistakes or flaws

Additional skills and/or experience required for success in the role: Experience as a machine operator preferred, but not required
Understanding of production procedures preferred, but not required
Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear)
