We are searching for a highly skilled Staff Engineer with 12+ years of experience building and shipping production-grade services. You possess a deep understanding of distributed systems development with an ability to consider trade-offs while building clustered, high-performance, fault-tolerant systems. Joining the NDK team means being a part of a dynamic and forward-thinking group that values continuous learning, teamwork, and a drive for excellence.Your RoleDevelop a good understanding of Cloud Native Storage technologies including Disaster Recovery and Backup.Software feature and unit test development for storage and data protection solutions for containerized applications.Setup and deploy complex stateful application and data management solutions in a containerized environment.Collaborate with the geo-distributed team to own and deliver projects end-to-end with high quality and predictability.Strong Distributed Systems development and architecting skills.Design tradeoffs in building clustered, high-performance, fault-tolerant distributed systems software.Entrepreneurial spirit - ability to start, execute, finish and own the feature while maintaining a high-quality bar.What You Will BringBS/MS degree in Computer science or equivalent12+ years experience in building and shipping production-grade services.Knowledge of building microservices based applications.Hands-on development in at least one of the programming languages: Golang, Python, Java/C++Strong development experience in Linux/Unix OS platformHands-on experience working with version control / DevOps tools – Git, Gerrit, or Jenkins About the TeamAbout Your Manager: Chandan Thakur, Director Engineering, is an experienced leader with over 5 years at Nutanix and 18+ years in the industry. This setup allows for both in-person collaboration and the flexibility of remote work.The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between USD $ 172,000 and USD $ 344,400 per year.However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.
