Position Overview:
As a Staff Accountant at Inside Real Estate, you'll play a pivotal role within our accounting team, supporting daily operations and the month-end close process. We're seeking a candidate with expertise in accounts receivable, accounts payable, and monthly account reconciliations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Accounting team to complete month-end close processes and reconciliations.
- Import bank and credit card transactions and organize supporting documents in NetSuite.
- Manage customer chargebacks by assisting credit card processors.
- Prepare and upload journal entries accurately.
- Maintain adherence to accounting policies, enhancing processes under Controller guidance.
- Establish and manage state employee withholdings and sales tax accounts.
- Assist in sales tax processes within Avalara.
- Undertake ad hoc projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in accounting and financial processes.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Detail-oriented and organized with excellent time management skills.
- Proficient in critical thinking and US GAAP principles.
- 1-3 years of experience in general accounting or bookkeeping.
- Accounting degree preferred.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience with NetSuite is advantageous.
- Familiarity with state sales and income tax reporting is a plus.
- Positive, proactive attitude with a high level of energy and optimism.
