Staff Accountant

A global, Private Equity-backed software company has an opening for a Staff Accountant to join their team on a remote basis. The Staff Accountant will report to the Accounting Manager (who KBW placed at the company) & have the primary responsibility of being a key member of the Finance team and play an important role in improving the firm's accounting and reporting process. The Staff Accountant will also get involved with month-end financial close, quarter-end analysis, documentation of technical accounting assessments, preparing internal and external financial reports, supporting acquisition and integration process and the implementation of NetSuite ERP system and other software solutions.
Up to $90,000 DOE.

While the role is 100% remote, the company requires someone to be local to be the Boston area. Applicants outside of New England will not be considered unless they are planning on relocating to the area.
Job Description:
• Journal entries, account recs, month end close 
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, supporting schedules and disclosures.
• Assist in documentation of accounting policies and procedures, and draft accounting memos for complex transactions.
• Research and document accounting and disclosure requirements of new standards and complex transactions.
• Support the implementation of NetSuite ERP system and other software solutions.
• A key role in the acquisition and integration process.
• Serve as the primary audit contact and ensure that all audit requests are fulfilled on time and properly.
• Identify and implement opportunities for operational improvement & efficiencies.
Job Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, CPA a plus
• 1-2 years accounting experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP 
• Excellent interpersonal skills / Strong communication skills
• Organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment and prioritize optimally
• Adaptable and dynamic problem solver
