Your Role: Join our ranks as a Software Developer at Ascension Technologies, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping our comprehensive portfolio of cloud-native enterprise applications within the ever-evolving healthcare software industry. As a vital member of our Agile development team, you will collaborate seamlessly with diverse professionals to deliver software solutions that enhance and sustain the well-being of individuals and communities. Key Responsibilities: As a vital part of our team, you will: Engineer top-tier cloud-native web applications using Javascript/Typescript in React. Deconstruct complex requirements into distinct coding tasks and strategies. Craft unit and integration tests for thorough and regressive software testing. Participate actively in design and code reviews. Collaborate with various teams (Product, PM, etc.) to ensure the delivered code aligns with functional/technical specifications. Engage in Agile routines and ceremonies, including daily standups, sprint planning, and sprint demos/retrospectives. Essential Qualifications: At least 7 years of professional software development experience in an Agile environment. A solid grounding in Computer Science fundamentals, including OOAD, design patterns, data structures, and algorithms. Extensive experience with Typescript. Profound understanding of front-end frameworks, particularly React. Experience with RESTful APIs and OAUTH. Familiarity with unit and integration testing. Comprehensive understanding of professional software engineering best practices across the full SDLC, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations. Demonstrated expertise in the full SDLC, including CI/CD and modern build and deployment tools. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Open-mindedness, with an enduring eagerness to learn new things. Exceptional interpersonal skills, a positive mindset, and a cooperative spirit. Preferred Additional Experience: Experience with TDD or BDD. Familiarity with cloud-native, scalable, and highly available distributed systems. Understanding relational and NoSQL databases such as MySql, Postgres, Mongo, and Redis. Experience with container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes. Experience with Atlassian tools such as JIRA and Confluence. What You Will Need: Education: High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Bachelor's degree required. Work Experience: 1 year of experience required. 4 years of experience preferred. 2 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
