DESCRIPTION Amazon Shipping is looking for a Business Operations Manager for the Shipping Technology and Services organization, reporting directing to the VP. This individual will manage the operating mechanisms for the organization, attend meetings on behalf of the VP and assist with the writing of strategic documents for leadership. This is an opportunity to inform strategic decisions and help define the strategy for driving business growth, product & tech investments and overall innovation. As part of this role, you'll work on specific projects that will shape the business success of Amazon Shipping, one of Amazon's big bets to become a small parcel carrier, along with the overall Transportation ecosystem. The ideal candidate is a tenured, high performing Sr Manager with the ability and hunger to learn quickly. The most critical LPs include Bias for Action, Learn & Be Curious and Earns Trust. This person will on occasion need to represent on the VP's behalf, so having a confident presence will also be critical.
Key job responsibilities
1. Sharing your expertise and knowledge with other teams to help them better understand the latest developments in technology and how they can be applied to various projects or initiatives.
2. Acting as a bridge between technical and non-technical teams, helping to facilitate communication and ensuring that everyone is aligned.
3. Working closely with other teams to identify opportunities for innovation and growth, such as new products, technologies or processes that can help streamline operations or improve customer experience.
4. Providing guidance and feedback on projects, helping to ensure that they are aligned with the company's overall strategy and goals.
5. Leading collaborative efforts between different teams and departments, help to break down silos and foster a culture of collaboration and innovation.
6. Establish/lead regular mechanisms to track strategic direction and communicate internally/externally
7. Understand key customer differences in local geos/market nuances through gathering insights
8. Write key strategic documents that require collaboration across the team as well as partner organizations.

Bellevue, WA, USA BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - 12+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
- 6+ years of team management experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with end to end product delivery
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
