Job description
This position will support and work with a group that r esearches, designs, and develops nuclear reactors.
Job Details:
Perform detail component, system and design engineering activities including drawings, calculations, and reports.
Must have ASME Code Section III and VIII experience
Perform component design, with an understanding of incorporating assembly, testing and inspection of mechanical components and system functions within the design.
Implement design control and configuration control concepts.
Implement concepts of design for manufacturing and system operations.
Learn a variety of new procedures, processes and tools while maintaining various stages of production.
Specify procurement requirements for mechanical components or system operability.
Requirements:
· Bachelors' degree in Engineering discipline is required
· Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience is required.
· Experience with ANSYS software is desired
· Must have experience working with nuclear reactor core components, reactor vessel and reactor vessel head components.
· Must have working knowledge of ASME Code, Section III and VIII, specifically
· Must have knowledge of project engineering activities
· Must be a U.S. Citizen
· Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance
