This role will travel approximately 10-20% of the time pending which clients/suppliers/distributors are located, as well as conferences. We are unable to offer sponsorship for work authorization for this role.As aSr Director of Protein Procurement,you will be responsible for procuring land and sea proteins for over 100 clients as well as supporting other brands within the Buyers Edge Platform. This role will be responsible for leading the protein category/supplier management activities (transactional and executional functions) as well as the implementation of the procurement strategy across multiple areas of protein spend(Beef, Pork, Poultry and Seafood). This role includes, but is not limited to reviewing proposals, supplier selection and management, commodity analysis, invoice review and approval, budget assembly and reconciliation, project management/coordination, evaluating price trends, KPI analysis, new product development and sourcing. This is a hands-on role with limited supervision requiring initiative and drive. You must possess broad, relevant business knowledge and be able to ruthlessly prioritize competing initiatives. You must be able to communicate effectively and appropriately across all levels of the enterprise as required.Your Impact:Develop/execute purchasing strategies for protein products including monitoring macrotrends in supplier base, implementing plans to react, and developing/executing purchasing strategies for products. Reviewing and understanding commodity related data is a must.Drives positive results throughout the organization by supporting the project execution and procurement functionBuild strong relationships with key stakeholders (including but not limited to: supplier and distributor partners, client teams, and internal clients).
