Notifies the service advisor immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle.Keeps shop area neat and clean.Maintains and is accountable for all dealership-owned tools and manuals. Returns them to the proper place and in the same condition as they were received.Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc.Operates all tools and equipment safely.Reports any safety issues immediately to management.Other tasks as assigned.Automotive Technician – QualificationsAutomotive and engine repair experience or auto mechanic training preferred.ASE certifications are required.Hold a valid driver’s license.Graduated from an associate degree program in auto maintenance and repair.Ability to maintain a professional appearance and provide friendly customer service.Must read, interpret, and transcribe data to maintain accurate records.Perform routine maintenance and other tasks in a fast-paced environment.May lift objects that weigh as much as 50 lbs.High school diploma or equivalent required.Experience as a lube technician or prepared to do on-the-job training.Understanding of automotive air-conditioning systems.Ability to use diagnostic equipment.Experience with heavy equipment and as a diesel mechanic, diesel engine knowledge, or prepared to do on-the-job training.Good hand-eye coordination.Automotive Technician - Education and/or ExperienceTwo to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Automotive Technician - Certificates, Licenses, RegistrationsAutomotive Service Excellence (ASE) CertificationsWe are committed to hiring a diverse and qualified workforce.
