GRAIS educators work with students and families to develop a community model of communication and expectations that focus on balance and the whole student. Students are encouraged to be active participants in their learning by leveraging blended learning and advocating for themselves, as they become comfortable and confident in all learning platforms and modalities, guided by clear learning objectives and goals that are driven by data. POSITION OBJECTIVE: This position is accountable for assuming the responsibility for delivering high quality instructional experience through creativity, resourcefulness and sound judgment consistent with the curriculum frameworks, standards and the policies and regulations of the Freetown-Lakeville Regional School District.RESPONSIBILITIES: 1.Responsible for chairing annual IEP meetings.2.Responsible for writing and revising comprehensive IEPs for caseload including measurable goals, detailed PLEPs etc.3.Serve as liaison for a caseload of Special Education students.4.Responsible for effective management of the classroom environment.5.Responsible for using innovative approaches, and instructional strategies, including the effective use of technologies, to increase student learning and confidence to learn.6.Responsible for the promotion of high standards and expectations for student achievement.5.Responsible for using innovative approaches, and instructional strategies, including the effective use of technologies, to increase student learning and confidence to learn.6.Responsible for the promotion of high standards and expectations for student achievement.7.Responsible for the promotion of equity and appreciation of diversity to ensure equitable opportunities for student learning, including, implementing specific strategies for students with mild to moderate disabilities.8.
