Special Education Teacher

Position Overview:

Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver engaging lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs of students.
Create a supportive classroom culture conducive to learning.
Maintain regular communication with parents/guardians to ensure student progress and well-being.
Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.
Adhere to district and school policies and procedures.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher.
Valid Michigan teacher's certificate with special education endorsement (SA, SB, SC, SE, SK, SL, SM, SP, SV) for grades K-12.
Educational experience preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Proficiency in using technology for instruction and communication.
Ability to adapt teaching techniques to meet individual student needs.
Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, and occasionally lift up to 35 pounds.
Flexibility to work irregular or extended hours as needed.
