Software Systems Engineer III Location Tooele, UT : It's fun to work in a company where people truly BELIEVE in what they're doing! SUMMARY The WDTC Data Sciences Division (DSD) is responsible for providing Information System (IS) services and Information Technology (IT) services to WDTC Divisions and Department of Defense (DOD) customers. DSD Systems Architecture Branch is comprised of Cybersecurity team, System Administration team, Network Administration team, Operational Support team and Software Development team. All contractor IT staff are part of DOD Cyber Workforce Framework (DCWF). This contract is to provide IS Services; to configure IT in accordance with (IAW) Department of Defense (DOD) Secure Recommendation Guides (SRGs) and Secure Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs). Operate IAW DOD, US Army and WDTC Security Policies and Plans. Document IAW DOD, US Army and WDTC Configuration Control Board (CCB) requirements. Test, troubleshoot and maintain IS operations for DPG/WDTC. Monitor IS and IT implementation, configuration, and cybersecurity requirements. Primary place of performance is Dugway Proving Ground, UT. IS and IT services may also be required for DPG alternate locations in SLC and along the Wasatch Front.
The Software Systems Engineer III serves the needs of the DPG/WDTC data science support contract. Must have required skillset in C#, MS Visual Studio, ASP.NET, HTML, Java, and XML.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS Must have a driver's License
Must be able to pass a customer background check for access to facilities, equipment and property. This Homeland Security Investigation requires U.S. Citizenship.
Minimum of one (1) qualifying baseline certification: GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, CISSP (or Associate), CISA, or GCIH.
Minimum of One qualifying computing environment below or other relevant computing environment certification(s):
Microsoft Solutions
Developer (any track)
Microsoft Certified IT Professional (Developer Tracks)
IEEE Professional
Software Developer
IEEE Professional Software Engineering
Master
Oracle Certified Java (Professional or higher)
Certified Developer in any development language
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Software development & Custom programming:
Supports full life-cycle software development process, which is requirements, design, build, test and deploy.
Provides custom software development support. Custom software development is defined as any new software requirement or a functional enhancement to existing software that exceeds the contractor's estimation of 180 labor hours. The estimated labor hours/categories will be reviewed by the Government. Contractor shall not cross-utilize personnel for this function.
Complies with In-house Software Development Quality Assurance Procedure WDT-QAP-001, Rev 00 Document at Enclosure B.
Supports information technology projects/systems in-progress but not yet accepted, systems approved but not yet installed and any new systems.
Submits a design package consisting of cost estimate and milestones to meet Government's required delivery date. Projects anticipated to exceed the Government's required delivery date will be identified to the COR prior to the delivery date. Contractor shall provide biweekly updates.
Stores all computer/software code (source and executable) on approved Government equipment. No code shall be stored on any other device.
Provide 100% on-time delivery of all products as requested. This does not include verifiable Government delays that shall be coordinated with COR immediately upon delay.
Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, and supervisor's instruction in such a way as to maximize personal output.
Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to all training made available by the company.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of five (5) years relevant experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education/experience.

Establishing connections between computers and local and wide networks.
Ensuring the data and infrastructure of the organization are secure.
Performing daily security backups in case a server or program were to malfunction.

Updating staff on system updates and modifications.

LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Work is primarily performed in an office environment. Regularly required to sit. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Exposed to general office noise with computers printers and light traffic.
