Responsibilities This is a full time remote position. Incumbent must live within the United States.
Mayo Clinic is seeking a talented and motivated software engineer to join the technical team supporting the ANIMATE initiative. The team is transforming the practice of healthcare by enabling artificial intelligence throughout the care pathway, while setting the global standard for best-in-class integrated, AI-enabled patient care. ANIMATE provides contextualized AI results within the clinician's clinical workflow, ensuring a more efficient and personalized healthcare experience. The successful candidate will be collaborating with other engineers to analyze, develop, and test functional requirements.
Responsibilities: Implement UI mockups housed in Figma using React and CSS. Ensure all appropriate documentation of processes and source code is created and maintained. Communicate effectively with peers, leaders, and customers throughout the organization. Participate in troubleshooting and resolve problems through root cause analysis, data, and system investigation. Continue to build knowledge of the organization, processes, and customers. Perform assigned tasks using a moderate level of guidance and direction. May be required to provide 24/7 call support. A Codility exam will be required as part of the interview screening process for this position.

Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field; Or an Associates' degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field with an additional 2 years of experience as described below.
· Have working knowledge and experience of Software Engineering with a minimum of internships and a minimum of 1 yr. of experience, or 2yrs of experience coding applications or services in a high-level language (C, C++, Golang, Java, C# etc.).
· Demonstrated problem solving and time management skills.
· Possesses strong technical aptitude for designing and implementing software solutions.
· Experience with modern application development frameworks
· Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
· Deep hands-on technical expertise, excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Experience with Agile software development techniques.
Experience developing web applications. Preferred Qualifications:
Working knowledge of React, HTML, CSS. Demonstrated problem solving and time management skills. Possesses strong technical aptitude for designing and implementing software solutions. Knowledge of professional software engineering practices including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations. C# using Visual Studio Code or Professional. Experience developing applications for containerization via Docker. Experience with modern application development frameworks. Experience with Agile software development techniques. Live within reasonable driving distance of Rochester, MN or a willingness to travel to Rochester for planning and pair programming sessions with other team members up to four times per year.
