Position SummaryAs a Platform & Site Reliability Engineer at Nomad Health, you will work across systems and software engineering to build, monitor/observe, and scale internal and external systems. A PSRE ensures that our systems are reliable and usable for our end users, they work closely with the development teams to build and maintain our systems and ensure they are performant and scalable. Responsibilities:Use data from our observability stack and incident trends to prioritize reliability improvementsWork closely with a small, dynamic team to build web services, APIs, and integrations to enhance the platform and make Nomad fasterParticipate in system design consulting, platform management, and capacity planningContribute to sprint development, executing on availability and performance topics within our product roadmapMentor and consult across our scrum teams to drive reliability best practicesWork with Product Management and Engineering to answer priority concerns for reliability fixesImprove observability across all servicesAutomate deployment capabilities and implement auto healing philosophiesCollaborate with development teams on best practices, infrastructure setup, and planning activities with a focus on stability and performanceWrite clean, extensible code, and improve the architecture, frameworks, and toolkits used to build and maintain a stable and nimble technology stackInitiate and run post-mortemsParticipate in On-Call rotations shared with development teamsRequirements:Experience with at least one of the following programming languages or similar: Python, Node/Javascript, GoExperience with GCP, AWS, CDNs, and/or other Cloud ServicesExperience with KubernetesExperience with running incident response and post-mortemsPreferred:Experience with Flask, MongoDB, and NoSQL databasesExperience with Kustomize, Helm, JsonnetExperience with CircleCI, ArgoCD, Github ActionsKnowledge of Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) and the current landscapeThe Company has reviewed this job description to ensure that essential functions and basic duties have been included. This range reflects the minimum and maximum amount employees can earn during their time in the role. Actual pay may be higher or lower depending on geographic locations, skills, experience, and other factors permitted by law.
