We are a leader in the Trauma-Informed Care Movement, and provide training, coaching and consulting to outside organizations. **Job Description** Provides social work services to patients/residents in acute, ambulatory or long term care settings. Services to patients/residents and their families include: identification of psychosocial needs, psychosocial assessment, pre-admission screening and admitting services for long term care patients, discharge planning, crisis intervention, information and referral, protective services, and patient/resident education. Functions as a member of a multidisciplinary team for patient/resident care. Duties may also include assistance with program development, evaluation, professional education, or supervision of students and BSW staff. LCSW Requirements + Master's degree in social work from a school of social work accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) + Current State of Missouri License as a Licensed Social Worker + Two years post-graduate clinical experience + Knowledge of theory and practice of social work at the MSW level and have basic research skills + Excellent written/verbal communication skills and ability to do public speaking + Ability to work effectively with physicians, other health care professionals and culturally diverse patients + If driving is a requirement for the employee, he/she must meet the requirements specified in the Fleet Driving Safety and Compliance Policy and must continue to meet these requirements as a condition of employment + Previous experience in health or mental health care preferred LMSW Requirements + Master's degree in social work from a school of social work accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) + MO LMSW or MO LMSW eligible (LMSW eligible Social Workers must obtain licensures by completion of the introductory period of employment - or within 90 days) + Knowledge of theory and practice of social work at the MSW level and have basic research skills + Must have the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and with patients of various ages and cultural backgrounds + Must have excellent written/verbal communication skills + Previous health care experience preferred **Working at University Health is about making a difference.
