Shipping & Receiving Clerk

The Point Casino and Hotel is looking for a Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join the Buildings and Grounds Team!
The Shipping & Receiving Clerk will receive, inspect and record shipments of all products for The Point Casino & Hotel (TPCH). The S/R Clerk is responsible for unloading packages and checking their contents to ensure they match order records. The S/R Clerk will take responsibility for tracking incoming and outgoing items, reducing errors, and ensuring quality of TPCH inventory.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Follows &/or generates guidelines for accepting product(s), with emphasis on quality, accuracy, and timeliness. Down-stacks incoming shipments when necessary while also inspecting for damage, checking expiration codes, checking for quantity accuracy in relation to company purchase orders, documenting discrepancies, verifying product weights, and compliance to HACCP guidelines in relation to food safety. Works closely with the Purchasing Agent to ensure continual process improvement. Maintains warehouse inventory records. Oversees the successful delivery of items to and from the warehouse. Ensures all health regulations are maintained to prevent food borne illnesses. Tracks and label items within the warehouse. Monitors shipments going into and out of TPCH facilities. Communicate with drivers and suppliers to monitor the location of items. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS At least one (1) year of comparable, hands-on experience PLUS one (1) year of inventory management software usage OR two (2) years of related service in either area. Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age. Strong interpersonal communication skills. Knowledge of warehouse operations, processes and equipment. Familiarity with record-keeping best practices. Understanding of safety regulations. Strong organization and documentation skills. Must be computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing software. Job Posted by ApplicantPro
