An experienced technical training professional and manager with experience in both the professional audio and video technology industry combined with deep working knowledge and understanding of Audio and IT networking as well as excellent hands-on teaching and training skills is sought by an established global manufacturer to manage all aspects of their technical training activities for North America.
You will be responsible for developing and managing the standardized delivery of training and certification for the USA and across the company's global markets. This will include the planning and management of training events including at times delivering in person presentations, one on one and classroom in person, and web/online. In this position you will take the lead role in all US technical training activity including leading a regular training and certification course, both on site and on the road. Travel requirement will be for approximately 30-40% of the time, occasionally internationally, visiting partners and integrators and attending tradeshows.
About You
You will be an experienced audio professional with a deep understanding and experience with networking – particularly audio and video over IP. You will be able to take technical concepts and communicate them in fluent English. The ideal candidate's experience will encompass more than 8 years of deep domain expertise with advanced audio networking.
You are a collaborative team player with exceptional public speaking and presentation skills and are comfortable being on camera and on-stage delivering training to large groups, paired with a thorough working understanding of audio over IP and wider networking applications in live and installed sound systems. It is likely you have worked previously in the networking area within professional AV. You are supportive, a leader by example, and ready to manage and develop a growing team. It is likely that you have certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CTS, CompTIA and/or AWS CCP and Dante as well as a working knowledge of broadcast and Pro AV technologies & standards such as PTP, SMPTE 2110 and AES67. You should also have a high-level understanding of virtualization and cloud technologies and experience with online Learning Management Systems.
