We invite those who share our vision for groundbreaking player experiences to explore our career openings and join us in this journey of creating new worlds together.Job Description:Worlds Untold is seeking a skilled and experienced Tech Animator with a curious and collaborative approach, who will be the bridge between our art and engineering teams, breathing life into our characters and environments. You'll work closely with animators and programmers to create and refine the animation and rigging systems that meet the overall vision and technical requirements of our game. Your expertise will ensure that our animations are not only realistic and visually stunning but also optimized for performance. This role requires a unique blend of exceptional artistic talent, in-depth technical knowledge, strong organizational skills, and a deep passion for narrative driven games.Key Responsibilities:Collaborate with animators and engineers to develop, maintain and enhance tools and pipelines for rigging, animation ensuring seamless integration into Unreal Engine. Innovate and develop state-of-the-art rigging solutions, setting new standards for visual fidelity Serve as a solutions provider, actively supporting and resolving technical issues for the animation team, enabling optimal use of tools and systems.Establish best practices and feedback loops for consistent quality, fostering a curious, collaborative, creative, and safe environment.Create comprehensive documentation for user-friendly tools that support our animation rigging workflows.Keep updated with the latest animation tools, technologies, and best practices, seeking opportunities for improvement.Basic Qualifications:7+ years of experience working in video game animation, specifically for AAA games.Extensive experience in creating robust rigs for creatures, including quadrupeds and humanoids.Deep knowledge of animation systems in Unreal Engine 4 +.Proficiency in animation tools and software, such as Maya and MotionBuilder.Strong grasp and understanding of animation principles and anatomy.Expert level knowledge of animation blending and animation state machines. Strong communication and problem-solving skills to work in a collaborative, creative environment.Preferred Qualifications:Previous work on AAA narrative-driven games.Experience in C++ Programming language.Experience with Unreal Engine 5 features.Strong Python and Maya scripting proficiency.We are an equal opportunity employer that embraces diversity, equity and inclusion.
